On July1 Mrs. World 2008 Kamaliya almost lost an expensive ring, a present from Pakistan Ambassador’s wife. On that night there was a National Program “Art Olympus of Ukraine” award ceremony in the city’s Teacher’s House. Minister of Culture, Mr. Vasyl Vovkun awarded Kamaliya with a prize for “significant contribution into development of culture of Ukraine”. Especially for the occasion Mrs. World 2008 was wearing the ring, presented to her by Pakistan Ambassador’s wife for taking part in multiple charity missions. Unpleasant incident happened during the ceremony. At the moment when Kamaliya took the ring off to adjust her hair one of the people present whose name would not be disclosed tried to take possession of the precious present. But Mrs. World’s personal security were on the lookout. The ring was returned to its owner and magnanimous Kamaliya forgave the offender.
Remarkably Kamaliya sacrificed her Moscow visit where she was going to record new songs in Ilya Reznik’s studio and to take part in popular programs of Russian television for the sake of the National Program “Art Olympus of Ukraine”.
